Many years ago ... when I first created our Thespian Troupe website, I thought adding a blog would be a great way to share tips with students. I posted a few here and there, but never really explored the potential of sharing them. I don't even know if anyone ever saw them. So - I'm starting over. Creating a space to share my tips and advice for my young actors out there who are struggling to navigate their craft and art and to find a way to share their voice while building their skills. I'll probably recycle some of the old posts, too - just to give them new life and a new audience. But I'll be looking to come here weekly (hold me to it!) to share some insight as we all move forward and inch closer to returning to school together in the fall. Break a leg in all you do, my Parkway Players! Our world is a delicate place, but it can also be strong. Find your voices. Stand together. Remember that our classroom (whether in person or virtual, whether part of your present or your past or your future) is a safe space for all, where everyone can find a home, where #lovewins and #blacklivesmatter. #88050letsgo
A return to the first thought for the new series ...
The 4 Factors for Success in The Parkway Players (and in life) are Attitude, Work Ethic, Focus and Follow-Through. If you can master those, you will make the most of every opportunity!
Hey - and go check out Renegade Theatre Company & Conservatory! It's a new venture "Revitalizing the voice of the underdog!" led our very own Darius & Nayomi, and it's going to be fire!
Until next week - sending so much love your way!
